Interns  work in a crew of 3 people to monitor land health on National Monument lands, vegetation treatments, rangeland allotments, or reference areas. Participants will manage all aspects of vegetation monitoring using the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) Assessment, Inventory, and Monitoring (AIM) methodology.

Dolores River Restoration Strike Team Member - Durango, CO

Applications Open Early Spring

The Strike Team will typically work four, 10 hour days per week. As part of the Dolores River Restoration Partnership, this team of 3 people will help ensure continued progress of restoration sites along the Dolores River. Project work will consist of treatment of herbaceous weeds and tamarisk retreatment at multiple sites along the riparian corridor. The intern will learn or review the hands-on details of herbicide application with support from the BLM and Field Supervisor.
