The Evolution of a Crew

The start of a trail season is always something to look forward to and to ponder. One might even say that it is a process of evolution of ones own crew member self. A member starts as a fish thrown in to the ocean of orientation and being washed to and fro form wave to wave, the sense of a big ocean is overwhelming. The next step sees a member realize that the world isn’t so big after all and they start to come out of their perceived ocean and start to walk onto the trail. As they walk they start to adjust to their new bodies saying things like “this hurts” and “We are going to work today?” They are still adjusting, and the swinging of tools seems unnatural but little do they know, the mountains the mountains. Within these mountains a crew member has now formed (although not fully) they learn to trust their fellow members and be in the silence of it all for fun. The last stage see a crew member become proud of their work and calling to things greater than ones self. This, at least, is what happened on our crew, how about yours?
