SCC member selected to attend the Conserving the Future Conference

Posted by SCC on Friday, July 1st, 2011.

Marshall Masayesva, SCC-Four Corners Corpsmember of the Year, was nominated to attend the United States Fish and Wildlife Service’s Conserving the Future Conference in Madison, WI.  Marshall was chosen to be one of 20 young adults across the nation selected to attend the conference.  Marshall most recently served with SCC restoring river habitat along the Dolores River during the fall of 2010. He is currently a research assistant at the University of Arizona netting song sparrows to test for levels of heavy metals potentially resulting from mining activities.

Congratulations Marshall!  We look forward to hearing your feedback on the conference.  No doubt you will provide valuable perspectives to conference attendants regarding the future of conservation in a changing world.
