CYCA Training in Golden

2011 Community Crew Leader Training
The road to Golden Gate State Park was filled with many turns, making my stomach upset, but when we finally arrived and I breathed in that fresh mountain air, I immediately began to feel better. Building a new trail was hard work but gave me a greater appreciation when walking through trails. We restored the damage we caused when building the trail, which made me feel a lot better. Our volunteer supervisor John was great to work with. He was filled with knowledge on trail building and restoring the environment, and presented it in a fun way, which made the day go by smoothly.
Coming together with crew leaders from around the state was interesting and a great learning experience!
