Veterans Green Corps starts work in Rio Grande NFPosted by SCC on Thursday, June 25th, 2009.
The Veterans Green Corps, a collaborative effort with the Southwest Conservation Corps and Veterans Green Jobs, started on June 22nd, with 8 veterans working on cut and run projects in the Rio Grande National Forest. The crew will be working for 8 weeks on a vareity of ranger districts clearing and maintaining trails in remote and non-remote locations. Check back for more information and videos on July 2nd or 3rd when the crew returns from the wilderness!
